Mitsubishi Montero Sport is also called as Mitsubishi Challenger. It is a mid-sized SUV built by Mitsubishi Motors. This vehicle is tagged with different titles, depending on the region. You can call it as Mitsubishi Pajero Sport, Mitsubishi Montero Sport, Mitsubishi Nativa, Mitsubishi Shogun Sport, Mitsubishi Pajero Dakar or Mitsubishi G-Wagon.
The Challenger was first produced in 2006 but was only out in the market one year later. It is now available in different regions of the world like North America, Asia, some countries in Europe and United States. Mitsubishi Montero Sports is always being relate to Mitsubishi L200.
In some countries like UK, many are against the use of such semi-compact SUV, as they are known to produce more carbon emissions than any other kinds of vehicles. That is why the production is limited.
In 2010, Mitsubishi Montero Sport is now equipped with CRDi engine to ensure a powerful performance, delivering torque and speed at moments that it is needed. Although there aren't that much improvement with the luggage space, the leg room and the head space for the passengers are more comfortable. The current design of the dashboard is made more appealing for its two-tone color. The navigation of the controls on the dashboard are made more accessible by the placement of controls on the steering wheels such as radio volume and tuning control. The odometer is also made sportier as the meters are changed from a boring design to a circular and colorful style.
When it comes to the chassis, Montero Sport transmission also showcase features that car owners will definitely love. Each model will come standard with a four-speed automatic with Adaptive Shift Control. The suspension is a front-independent double-wishbone with torsion bars in the front and rear solid-axle multi-link with coil springs in the back.
For the safety of passengers and driver, 2010 Mitsubishi Montero Sport's side panel will is made of one piece of metal that will make its body more rigid and resilient. The steel-side door beams were also included for an even greater protection. With the four-wheel disc brakes and multimode ABS, this new Montero Sport will be very reliable in cases of collissions.
As always, the semi-compact SUV is available on a 4x2 and 4x4 options. So far, the only negative comment about the 2010 Mitsubishi Montero Sport is that the handling of the steering can feel a little difficult to handle as it feels heavy. Other than that, most Pajero enthusiasts are still satisfied and contented with the new features of the 2010 Mitsubishi Montero Sport.
For this year, Montero Sport will be available in four different models namely, the Montero Sport ES, Montero Sport LS, Montero Sport XLS, and the Montero Sport Limited. These models will come in two- and four-wheel-drive varieties, for even greater customization.
