If Nissan looked so classy on cars news and magazines, elegant and lustrous in their Nissan Sentra, they appear entirely different with the Nissan Patrol. The latter looks roaring, tough and rugged. Looking at the car, you will think they are from different manufacturers, but they are not. This is how Nissan dazzle car enthusiasts.


Nissan Patrol is a mid-sized, jeep/pickup truck first assembled in Japan on 1951. It also known as Nissan Safari in various countries. Now, it is available in countries in Australasia, Central and South America, South Africa, parts of Southeast Asia and Western Europe as well as Iran and the Middle East. The Patrol is always received as a tough 4X4 in Australia, Middle East, Europe an the Caribbean. Its strong hold is the Middle East, Australia, New Zealand, Japan and other European Countries.


There are already seven generations of Nissan Patrol. all carries their own identities. Some are used as luxury vehicle, government vehicle, while other generation, the second generation to be specific, are used as military vehicle in Asia and Middle East. The last generation is still fresh since it is created just this year.


The car adapted several facelifts but remained reliable, unbreakable and affordable for many. The biggest SUV in the company’s line-up is still your same old Patrol, but with more technological and advanced features that will surely reach the customers' satisfaction.

The all-new Nissan Patrol was first revealed at the VIP even in Abu Dhabi, 13th of February this year. It is officially called as P61, derived from the names of the previous Patrol versions. This new pickup truck is powered by a 5.6-litre V8 engine with VVEL (variable valve event and lift) and DIG (direct injection gasoline) technologies that generate 400hp and 550Nm of torque. Its engine is linked to a new 7-speed automatic transmission and an upgraded 4WD system that incorporates a variable 4×4 mode package allowing the driver to quickly switch between four drive modes: sand, on-road, snow and rock.

2011 Patrol is also proud of its roomier and more luxurious cabin. It features amount of leather, polished aluminum and wood grain paneling. The interior is upgraded to bring more comfort to the passengers. This is done by putting wider, higher and deeper front seats, the Patrol offers over 100mm more legroom for second row passengers, and a roomier third row of seats as well.


The grille is also more prominent than ever since it was meticulously proportioned to deliver a sense of continuity with past models but at the same time deliver a “touch of newness”.
