The Honda Hybrid technology consists of a super-efficient 1.3-liter valve i-VTEC 4 cylinder gasoline engine paired with a lightweight, high-output electric motor, which adds extra power when needed. Probably its not a race car, but it has a decent acceleration.

Now looking at on how it functions, Dick Colliver, executive vice president of American Honda Motor Co., Inc. said that "The availability of high-performance versions, a hybrid and a dedicated natural gas vehicle also makes Civic one of the most diverse vehicles in the automotive industry".


The Honda Civic Hybrid, a five-passenger compact hybrid sedan, gets high marks for being safe and even won the award for safety from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. This is due to the improved body structure, airbags, vehicle stability assist and anti-lock braking system. All of these features come standard with every 2010 Honda Civic.
